2. National Memorial

National Memorial Arboretum is a national site of remembrance at Alrewas, near Lichfield in Staffordshire. It is an evolving woodland, featuring over 30,000 trees home to lots of wildlife and memorials. The site is 150 acres, full of tributes to those who have served and continue to serve our country.

The Millennium Chapel of Peace and Reconciliation is the only site in England which has a daily act of Remembrance. The site also offers a range of hot and cold food and drink in the Coffee Shop.

4. Gladstone Pottery Museum

If you love art and pottery, you’ll love Gladstone Pottery Museum. Stoke-on-Trent is famous for its pottery, so if you visit without experiencing the Gladstone Pottery Museum, your visit won’t be complete! The Roaches Peak District is a popular rocky ridge above Leek and Tittesworth Reservoir, in the heart of the Peak District.

It is popular with walkers and rock climbers and offers some of the best climbing in England. There are popular routes such as the Valkyrie the Sloth and The Swan and is very popular at weekends and during the holidays.

Who wouldn’t want to visit the Monkey Forest? Kids will love exploring the forest – as well as spotting the monkeys! Monkey Forest is in the heart of historic Staffordshire woodland and has 140 free roaming Barbary Macaques – It’s a bit different to your usual forest!  

There are so many information boards, where children will learn all about the monkeys and the forest’s history. Take a stroll down the visitor pathway, where you will get to meet the two groups of monkeys! You might even be lucky and see the baby monkeys!
