2. Nottingham Castle

Nottingham Castle is in the heart of Nottingham, England and is located in a commanding position known as ‘Castle Rock’. There are cliffs below the castle around 130 feet high to the south and west.

There is so much to do and see in the castle inside the museum and gardens, including a cave tour explaining its history where you can explore down into the passageways and tunnels beneath the castle. 4. The Arboretum

The Arboretum in Nottingham is based in the residential area of the City. It is an award winning park and the oldest and closest park to Nottingham city centre.

It a beautiful historic park, which is home to over 800 trees which some were planted in the 19th century. The park was opened in 1852 by the Mayor in front of 30,000 people. Wollaton Hall in Nottingham is an Elizabethan country house of the 1580s, situated on a hill in Wollaton Park. The house has been changed to Nottingham Natural History Museum, with Nottingham Industrial Museum in the outside buildings.
